We are happy to announce the unique concert tour of Smt. Suchismita and Debopriya Chatterjee who are popularly known as “Flute Sisters”, accompanied by renowned tabla player Harshad Kanetkar.

Debopriya and Suchismita Chatterjee, known professionally as the "Flute Sisters," are sisters by birth and acclaimed Indian Hindustani classical flautists. They were introduced to music by their parents, who were both vocalists and composers, and later honed their craft under the guidance of the legendary

Pandit Bholanath Prasanna and

Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia

. Their dedication to the art form has earned them numerous accolades, including being graded artists of Aakashwani (All India Radio) and receiving the prestigious Rashtriya Pandit Kumar Gandharva Samman in 2021. They have performed extensively, both individually and as a duo, captivating audiences in India and across the globe with their intricate melodies and harmonious improvisations. Beyond their musical prowess, the Flute Sisters are dedicated to preserving and promoting Indian classical music through their teaching endeavors and participation in various cultural and social initiatives. Their passion and commitment have made them a unique and significant voice in the realm of Hindustani classical flute music.

Harshad Kanetkar is a renowned

Tabla player

from India, recognized for his exceptional talent in Indian Classical Music. He started his musical journey learning vocals from his mother and grandfather before beginning his Tabla training at the age of five with

Shri Pandurang Mukhade

. He later continued his intensive training under

Pandit Ramdas Palsule

and

Taalyogi Pandit Suresh Talwalkar.

Kanetkar is highly regarded for his versatility as a solo Tabla performer and as an accompanist for various genres, including vocal, instrumental, and dance performances in Hindustani and Carnatic styles, as well as Western music like Jazz. His technique is characterized by crispness, clarity, and a strong command of rhythm, earning him praise from many legendary musicians. He has collaborated on several innovative musical projects, such as "Soundscape," "Strings N Beats," and "Trinity," which blend different musical traditions and instruments.
