Gangaur is one of the most important festivals in Rajasthan. In some form or the other, it is celebrated all over Rajasthan. “Gan” is a synonym for Lord Shiva & “Gauri” or “Gaur” stands for Goddess Parvati, the heavenly consort of Lord Shiva. The Seattle Group of Rajasthani, along with the Rajasthani Community, is joyously celebrating one of the most widely recognized festivals to embrace the rich heritage of Rajasthan. This cultural extravaganza promises to showcase the colorful tapestry of Rajasthani traditions, including folk dances like Ghoomar, soul-stirring music with instruments like the dholak and sarangi, and tantalizing cuisine featuring delectable Rajasthani delicacies such as dal bati churma and gatte ki sabzi.

Participants can immerse themselves in the lively atmosphere, adorned with traditional attire like vibrant ghagras and colorful turbans, reflecting the essence of Rajasthan's cultural identity. The festival provides a platform for both the Rajasthani diaspora and enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds to come together, celebrate, and appreciate the essence of Rajasthan's rich cultural heritage.

Through this celebration, the Seattle Group of Rajasthani aims to foster a sense of belonging and pride among the community members while also inviting others to experience the warmth and vibrancy of Rajasthani culture. It's an occasion not just to revel in festivities but also to strengthen bonds, share stories, and create lasting memories in the spirit of togetherness.
